Change Hero- Flattening The Curve

change curve

Most people are going through tough changes due to the presence of COVID. No matter where you live, what language you speak, whether you are rich or poor, old or young, the impacts of large-scale change are being felt.

We’re all being asked to adjust to a new COVID world, with lingering health impacts, jobs lost, schooling at home, the wealth that we’ve worked so hard to acquire falling, the suffering of  loneliness from lock-downs and, for many, much more.

All changes lead to fear and bad feelings. The larger the change, the worse these feelings will be and the harder it will be to avoid depression and keep faith that happiness will be felt again when a  new  normal is reached.

The Kuebler-Ross- based ‘change curve’ helps describe the changes in emotions when changes occur. The bigger the change, the deeper the emotions and longer the process.change

You cant avoid change.  So the best way through is to  learn how to flatten this curve. And this can be done by becoming a Change Hero and following the equation:

CH=(Fu+ H+Vo)*D / Fo   +Co

where:

CH =  Change Hero OR Happiness from Change

Fu = fun

H = physical, mental and emotional health

V =  Vision, will and mindset

D = Discipline and time management

Fo = Unconscious Fears  and

Co= Core supporters- those people you need in your army, in order to achieve victory in life.

Over the next few weeks I  will introduce each element and describe how it works.

Today I have attached Change Hero Module 1 It talks about how change works and the emotions felt and describes the state that I refer to as ‘Happiness from Change’ that comes from being a Change Hero (CH). It also provides an activity that will remind you to have fun (Fu).

I wish you all the best on your change journey.
